The Winstonwil Hall of Fame

Charles and Sue have been raising, training and showing dogs nearly all their lives. We started together with our first Cardigan in 1978, Sir Winston of Bealehouse UD, He was a fine performer in the Obedience ring and a real tribute to the breed. We were amazed at how high he carried his tail over his back.

Since then we have added or helped to add many Cardigans to the Hearts and Homes of dog lovers across the United States. Some have done very well in the Conformation Ring, Herding, Obedience and Agility Trials.

Winstonwil's Tigger, CDX, most notably the dam of Ch. Davenitch Shilo Luca, the first bitch in the history of the breed to win BIS, May, 1989.

Ch. Winstonwil Tinkerbelle CDX, sister to Ch. Pluperfect Winstonwil Plum ("Hypatia"), foundation bitch of Pluperfect Kennels. Tinker was well known to go over the correct jumps in obedience, irrespective of the directions of the judge and her handler. she also had a way of playing "ring around the rosie" with her handler in heel position. Tinker was an awesome mother to her puppies and grand pups, and gave us the style and substance of the English Pantyblaidd line.

Ch. Chandler's Critic's Choise, acquired from Norma Chandler in the early 90's, gave us size, substance and temperament. "Oliver" could be trusted with the youngest child in the family or the oldest teenager. Bred only twice, he produced "Ch. Twinroc Max--in-a-Million", sire of many champions and group placers, most notably Ch. Trailwyn Mae West, Specialty winner and multiple group placer.

Ch. Winstonwil Red Letter Day, CD, "Bugsy" Owned/Trained/Exibited by Barbara Madison, Clayton, MO

Ch. Winbuck's Max' Em ("Tucker"), a son of "Oliver", shown winning 1st leg on CD with 197-1/2 at '97 Specialty, owned & loved by the Harrison's and trained & shown by Jan Dickson. Tucker is the sire and grandsire of our present-day winning Cardigans.

Cisco and her dam, Ch. Zircon's Ebony' n Ivory, CDX ("Cassandra"). Cassie was the best obedience dog we ever had, but she would not leave Charles' side to do utility work! She thought herding sheep was "yucky", altho her tested descendants are all Herding Instinct Certified and Maggie has never been surpassed in her herding performances.

Cisco , Ch Winstonwil The Chrome Nun UDX, CGC, is pictured on our front page.
